    The I.C.P.C.A. is a Christian non-profit organization that licenses, commissions or ordains qualified applicants to the counseling ministry. We seek to increase community and church awareness of Christian based temperament counseling services.

    Benefits of Membership:

    Networking: We encourage members to learn from one another through fellowship, worship, teaching, counseling, and/or workshop participation.

    Workshops: In addition to the annual I.C.P.C.A. conference, members are encouraged to attend and/or participate in regular association meetings, seminars and/or workshops. Attendance enables members to fulfill their continuing education requirement units.

    Professionalism: Members are certified and/or licensed counselors.

    Members are committed to providing mutual Spirit support to all people as we further the Good News of salvation through Christ Jesus our Lord.

FBICS&U Counseling programs

We believe our counseling program provides biblical principles and techniques for:

  • Individuals who want to be better equipped to minister to those who need help and hope,
  • Pastors who want to learn how to counsel members of their church and community experiencing problems,
  • Professional counselors wanting to learn a biblically-based counseling model,
  • Christians wanting certifications to counsel as a professional.

Phase 1 Counseling
We believe you will enjoy this program!
It begins with the Creation Therapy Counseling Program. We will introduce you to temperament theory, therapy, testing and measurements.  Students will learn about the melancholy, choleric, sanguine, supine and phlegmatic temperaments. 
We will introduce you to the Arno Profile System testing instrument.  You will learn your temperament before administering to counseling clients!
Students will learn the difference between Christian and secular counseling, goals, techniques, and other pitfalls to counseling.  Basic theories concerning psychology will be explored.

Phase II Counseling

Phase II begins with mastering pastoral counseling utilizing temperament. 
You will obtain specific information regarding stress, anger, and guilt with teaching on how to develop and maintain healthy relationships. 

Students will obtain specialized training on codependency using the APS. You will use case studies and other testing instruments to enhance your learning experience.

Phase III Counseling

At FBICS&U we afford you the opportunity to continue in specialized areas of counseling. You can become a Board Certified Therapist in any of the following areas of expertise:

What Else Should I Know?

FBICS& U utilizes the Arno Profile System (A.P.S).  It is an easy to learn counseling technique that has a 90% success rate.  Thousands of pastors, professional counselors, and counselors throughout the United States and several foreign countries are currently using the A.P.S.
